Why Subscribe to The Barrow Gang?

Running a nonprofit shouldn’t mean running on fumes. If you’re facing board challenges, stalled fundraising, or struggling to scale your impact with limited time and resources, this newsletter was built for you.

Each week, you’ll get real-world strategies from someone who’s been in your seat. No fluff. No theory. Just practical insights on board engagement, donor funnels, planning for growth, and building systems that actually work for your team.

If you’re facing any of these issues and need fresh perspective, book a free call to see if we’re a fit.

We’ll talk through where your org is now, what’s in the way, and where you want to go.

About Me:

I’m the founder and first employee of the Murphy Arts District in El Dorado, Arkansas—a $150 million cultural and entertainment nonprofit that I helped build from the ground up. From concept to construction to operations, I led the organization through massive growth, public-private funding partnerships, and the chaos that comes with scale. Now based in Pasadena, California, I work with nonprofits across the country to help them grow strategically without burning out their teams.

In addition to the newsletter, I offer consulting services for nonprofits looking to solve specific challenges, improve internal systems, or plan for long-term sustainability. Whether you need a one-time strategic engagement or ongoing support, we’ll design something that fits your organization’s goals and capacity.

What to Expect:

You’ll receive one focused issue per week with strategies you can actually use. It’s professional, to the point, and written for people with real-world constraints—like limited staff, time, and funding.

Delivered right to your inbox.

And if you’re ready to dig deeper, book a call here and let’s talk about what’s next for your organization.
